How do I know which crank arm puller I need?
I am fixing up some bikes for low income kids in the neighborhood and need to pull the crank out of one. It's a cheap Chinese made Huffy mountain bike and I can't find any information on what type of puller I need. It looks to have a square shaft with threads in the crank arm where a puller would screw in. Is there a puller that works on a majority of these cheap bike cranks so I can get the most use out of it? Thanks for your help.

- park http://www.westernbikeworks.com/search_results.asp?cat=cs&man=pt&tn=0 pick one
- Parktool and Shimano both make great tools. Lifu makes good tools too and at half the price.[give or take] My Shimano cable cutters are my fave. My Park cone wrenches ,I cannot live without. My Lifu crank extractor is the most versatile crank puller I have used and can easilly be carried in a toolbag when riding.Contains 14x15mm Sockets and 8mm Hex Key for Crank Bolts and Crank Arms Removal. Sure the Shimano and Park are better but not as versatile, nor as affordable. I hope this can be of help
- any crank puller will work on your crank obviously the more you spend the better quality you will get but dimention wise theres no difference
