How do I take out a briggs crankshaft? I need to remove the crankshaft from a 8hp briggs engine so that my friend can add a keyway for me (the engine was made for a generator - no clutch). How much will it cost to replace the crankshaft on my Snapper Lawnmower? It's a Snapper Push-Mower, and I hit a pipe and I think I bent the crankshaft. How much will it cost to repair? I don't think the engine itself is damaged, because I got it to start, it just makes the whole mower shake uncontrollably (so I quickly switched it off). I think it's just a bent crankshaft, which is causing the blade to oscillate instead of turn on center.
How to remove crankshaft pulley from ford contour? Ok so I got the bolt out, but I can't seem to get the pulley off. Im not sure if it is just suppose to pop off. I figured it was wedged on and I will possibly need a puller. Im not sure any helpful hints would be nice.

Can someone please describe the location of the crankshaft position sensor on a 2003 Nissan Altima? I purchased the sensor after the OBD II equipment stated that there was a problem with it, and replaced a sensor that is exactly the same on the drivers side. I have a feeling that I got the camshaft sensor and not the one with the problem, therefore I need to know where the crankshaft sensor is so I can replace the right one. Dealership confirmed that the part number for both is the same but could not give me a diagram or help on the location... Thanks in advance! 2.5L engine Thanks to everyone that replied... I found and replaced the sensor. o Confirmed that camshaft & crankshaft position sensors are the same. o Crankshaft position sensor is a lot more difficult to replace as it is hidden under the engine and very difficult to access from both under the car & from under the hood. o Be careful with the connector to the sensor. Since you don't see the connector at any time and the clip is different to the camshaft sensor you can break the connector. I broke mine and had to find another connector at the dealership and adapt it by cutting and soldering 3 wires.
How much would it cost to fix/replace a crankshaft in a 2000 Sonata? My check engine light came on, but went off 2 days later. How much does a crankshaft for a fourwheeler cost? I have a 2000 model 325 Polaris Magnum fourstroke. I took it to the shop to see what was wrong with it and they said I needed a new crankshaft. I need better Cam and crankshafts? i would like to get a better camshafts and crankshaft(gears, and such for em too), for a 2002 1.8 L Toyota Celica GTS(MT) but i can't find them anywhere. any advice
Where is my crankshaft position sensor located? I have a 1995 Chevy S-10 with a 2.2 and a 5 speed. I have it in a shop right now because they replaced my fuel pump, then it broke down again when I picked it up and they said it must be the ignition module. That didn't fix it either. I am ASE certified and all of that good stuff, but my brother said it could be the cranks sensor causing the stalling/hard starting/no starting. I will get my money back from the fuel pump repair, but I want to pick up the truck because I told the shop I can throw parts at it myself if I wanted to keep doing things their way. I just want to test the CPS, but is it behind the harmonic balancer or somewhere else? For little minded individual, all of the ASE certs in the world do not mean you can pinpoint the specific location of a specific part on a specific vehicle. ASE certified isn't just for techinicans even though I was one for 9 years. I am required to be a Master ASE Certified individual for my warranty claims job. Your very little mind tried to be funny.

I need to know how to line up crankshaft with camshaft for correct timing? Renault Megane 2003. Trying to help a friend short on cash. The crank pulley was in 2 pieces. I was a qualified mechanic many years ago & thought this would be easy. Can't believe with todays technology that by taking off the crank pulley, the crankshaft can turn & camshaft does not. I only hope that valves have not been bent as I used the cranking of the engine to loosen nut on crank pulley. I know I am getting close to being lined up but just want to know correct procedure.
